Adult Social Care Efficiencies Programme- Key Messages Event

The WLA are holding an Adult Social Care Efficiencies Programme (ASC EP) Key Messages Event for all ASC senior staff and managers to discuss and share the vision and key messages underpinning this crucial area of work.

The event will take place from 1:30pm on Tuesday 9th February 2010 in the Queens Hall, Ealing Town Hall.

As well as presentations and updates from the key projects within this programme, the event will focus on developing and clarifying the following key messages:

• The vision for the WLA ASC EP Programme – now, next year, and beyond
• Importance of the WLA ASC EP Programme
• Prioritisation that is expected to be given to the WLA ASC EP Programme among officers
• How the WLA ASC EP Programme will support each borough’s efficiencies and improvement programmes
• The cost and quality principles that underpin the programme
• How savings will be generated and shared
• The governance structure for the programme and commitment that is expected from officers
• The role of the permanent WLA Efficiencies Unit
• Ongoing communications: the need to share information among all ASC colleagues

A report detailing the business of the day, as well as proposals for the next steps for this key area of work, will be circulated to delegates following the event.
