The Outer London Commission (OLC) is holding a series of public meetings and the next one is on the 17th June in West London.
The meetings provide an opportunity for the boroughs and sub-regional partnerships to respond to the issues raised by the OLC that are relevant to their sub-region. The meetings are used to initiate dialogue between the Commissioners and sub-regional representatives and will be used to generate further discussions.
The OLC has been established by the Mayor of London to advise how Outer London can play its full part in the city’s economic success.
It is exploring how different parts of Outer London can better realise their economic potential, especially its town centres, as well as opportunity and intensification areas and industrial locations. It is also assessing the concept of 'growth hubs' (a new type of business location), whether these can be distinct from and complement other sorts of business location, and where they might best be located as a new component of London's economic geography. More information about the OLC can be found on the Mayor’s web site here.
West London Alliance and West London Business have already submitted written responses to the OLC and they can be read here for WLA and here for WLB.
The OLC public meeting in West London is being held in the Queens Hall, Ealing Town Hall, New Broadway, Ealing, W5 2BY on the 17th June starting at 6.00pm. For directions please click here
